Hyosung in Korea is one of the world's largest power plant suppliers

In addition to Hyosung, other well-known power plant suppliers, such as ABB, Alstom, or Siemens, use UNITRO fault and danger detection systems for the medium and high-voltage switchgears that they manufacture and sell worldwide.
These systems are also used by the network operators themselves, for example by Transnet.

Task:

Recording and reporting of all occurring fault and danger states, especially switch case and transformer protection.

Realization:

The front mounting systems are used:
FSB series, the intelligent ME logic series, the electronic multiple drop indicator relay FR6 and the new WA16 / WA40 / FME-WA Windows Alarm Annunciator.

The compact modules of the FSB series offer 8-48 messages, from the low-cost collective fault message to the USB configurable flashing fault message.

The multifunctional ME series with modules for 8, 16 and 24 messages can generally be configured via USB with a resolution of ≥1ms. The ME 16-P logic module also offers an IEC 61850 interface to the control room interface.
The ME series has a message storage in case of power failure of the supply voltage of 60-220V DC.

The FR6 module provides 6 messages with output changer and also power failure memory.

The ME series and the FR6 module meet the increased UNITRO-EVU standard for digital substation control technology in terms of immunity to interference.

The new WA illuminated field fault message modules combine all the aforementioned features and, in addition to the weaving ability, also offer a significantly improved visual alarm.
